Sit them on your lap if that helps. We go slow, talk them through it, and stop for breaks.
Kids' skin fades and design cuts
Older kids can get a skin fade or a line cut into the side. Bring a photo of the design they want.

What if my child won't sit still?
That's fine. We take breaks, use scissors if the clippers scare them, and you can stay close.
